A Sad Day

The terrible and shocking events of today reverberated in our school today. Word spread quickly amongst all students and staff, as you can imagine. The school went into a Shelter In Place mode, which essentially meant that students remained inside the school building and did not go out for recess or gym. We did discuss some of the events in class, though only briefly as details were only beginning to emerge. I am sure there will be more questions tomorrow and while we might address some of them in class, many of them might never go answered, unfortunately. The OCDSB did issue an alert with Communication Tips for Parents and Teachers, if you are interested.
